The National Basketball Arena provides the Irish Basketball Associate with a 2,697m2 national stadium.
In addition to the playing area there are extensive toilets, shower and changing rooms offices, shop and seated viewing areas with capacity for 5,000 spectators. The roof structure comprises timber "glu lam" beams and decking in a laminated shell to parabolic shapes.
The floor compirses a gym floor in beech fixed on battens, designed to international standards. Externally, a new access roadway, carparking, drainage and landacaping works were provided.
