The Project involved the extension of the existing Luas Red Cow Maintenance Depot Building and the provision of additional tram stabling.

The building wasextended in order to facilitate the works required to convert the existing, 26 Red Line, 'Citadis 301' light rail vehicles to 'Citadis 401' lights rail vehicles (i.e. converting them from circa 30m in length to circa 41m in length).

The work included for the provision of one additional service pit lane and one additional 'slab' type service lane. Access track, building apron area, electrical and mechanical systems were all extended as appropriate to service the new service lanes.

An existing service pit lane constructed as part of the original installation is was extended as part of this Contract.

The work also included the provision of additional tram immediately to the north of the existing stabling area.
