UCD Sutherland School of Law

BAM has commenced works on the new signature Sutherland School of Law Building for the law facility in the heart of the UCD Campus. This landmark building will be the first Law School in Ireland to have a Clinical Legal Educational Centre.

It will house undergraduate and graduate law studies, the Institute of Criminology, legal research centres and continuing professional development programmes under one roof. Works involve the construction of 6,200m2 of new space over 2 storeys, comprising lecture rooms catering for up to 200 students; Auditoria for lectures and appellate moots; Clinical Legal Education Centre; Seminar and tutorial rooms; student breakout spaces; Dedicated PhD student spaces; meeting rooms and communal spaces; Boardroom and offices with a ground floor café.

External works include construction of lake and cycle-ways. The initiative behind the UCD Sutherland School of Law is the development and the creation of new initiatives, to enrich the educational environment of its student body, to work in partnership with the practicing legal profession and to establish a major, well-regarded and authoritative presence in the international legal community.
