Mr Charles Flanagan TD, Minister for Justice and Equality and The Hon Mr Justice Frank Clarke officially opened the new Wexford courthouse. The €18.1m project joins a group of completed courthouses built by BAM comprising Drogheda and Letterkenny, with four further new courthouses or substantial refurbishments to be delivered in 2018.

This PPP scheme encompasses the construction and refurbishment of landmark courthouses in Drogheda, Cork, Letterkenny, Limerick, Waterford, Wexford and Mullingar. It includes the design, construction, finance and the 25 year maintenance of these courthouses.

Originally built as the Tate School is 1867, the new works included the  refurbishment and extension of this historic building to provide four courtrooms, custody facilities, court offices and associated facilities.
