BAM UK & Ireland signs pledge to support Scottish social enterprises

BAM UK & Ireland has signed the Buy Social Pledge, an initiative from Social Enterprise Scotland that empowers businesses to use their purchasing power for social good across Scotland’s communities. 

The Buy Social Pledge brings together corporate businesses, SMEs, academic institutions and public sector bodies committed to bringing social enterprises into their supply chains. As its latest signatory, BAM UK & Ireland has pledged to harness its purchasing power for good and contribute to positive social change in local communities.

Alongside joining the pledge, BAM UK & Ireland has also become a Sponsor Member of Social Enterprise Scotland, further demonstrating its commitment to delivering meaningful social value through its operations, partnership and projects.

Earlier this year, SSEN Transmission awarded BAM UK & Ireland and Siemens Energy a major contract for the delivery of the Greens substation project. With BAM UK & Ireland’s latest pledge, this project will illustrate to the industry how purchasing decisions can open up commercial opportunities for social enterprises and help strengthen communities across Scotland.
